Now we will try to learn this language using tense

PRESENT TENSE

present tense in odia

Present Indefinite

1 . We read
-> humlog padhte hai
-> ame sabu 

2. do we read ?
-> kya humlog padhte hai
-> tame kain padhucha

3. shubham wants to read
-> shubham padhna chahta hai
-> shubham padhibaku chanhuchi

4. she knows to dance
-> wo nachna jaanti hai
-> se nachiba janichi

Present Continuous

1. I am reading ?
-> mai padh raha hu
-> mu padhuchi

2. am i not reading ?
-> kya mai nahi  kha raha hu?
-> kan mu khalini

3. what are you doing? 
-> tum kya kar rahe ho?
-> tame kana karucha

4. am i eating?
-> kya mai kha raha hu
-> kan mu khauchi

 Present Perfect

1. i have eaten ?
-> mai kha chuka hu
-> mu khai sarilini

2. have priyanka and shubham eaten?
-> priyanka aur shubham kha chuke hai?
-> priyanka au shubham khaichanti?

3. i have not seen shubham
-> maine shubham ko nahi dekha hai 
-> mu shubham ku dikhini

4. i have seen shubh
-> maine shubh ko dekha hai
-> mu shubh ku dekhichi

Present Perfect Continuous

  1. i have been going      
-> mai jaata raha hu    
-> mu jauchi

2. i am not going since morning
-> mai subah se nahi jaa raha hu
-> mu sakala jauni

3. what have you been doing  
-> aap kya karte rahe hai    
-> tame kana karucha 

4. i am going since morning
-> mai subah su jaa raha hu
-> mu sakala jauchi

PAST TENSE

Past Indefinite

1. i ate   
-> maine khaya             
-> mu khaili 

2. shubh wanted to be an engineer
-> shubh ek engineer banna chahta tha
-> shubh gote engineer hbaku chanhuchi    

3. i did not eat       
-> maine nahi khaya     
-> mu khalini  

4. did i eat
-> kya maine khaya
-> kana mu khali   

5. he begins to cry       
-> wah rone laga   
-> sie kandibaku lagila           

6. you go on playing
-> tum khelte hi rehte ho
-> tu sabuble kheluthau

Past Continuous

1. i was eating 
-> mai kha raha tha
-> mu khauthili 

2. I was not eating
-> mai nahi kha raha tha
-> mu khauthili

3. where was priyanka going?
-> priyanka kaah jaa rahi thi?      
-> Priyanka kaude jauthla?   

4. was i sleeping
-> kya mai so raha tha
-> kaana mu soithili

Past Perfect

1. The junior had fled away when the senior comes
-> senior ke aane ke pahele junior bhaag chuka tha
-> senior asiba purbaru junior doudi   
paleithila

2. I had already taken admission
-> maine pahele hi admission le liya tha
-> mu agaru admission neithli

3. When i beat him he began to abuse
-> jab maine use pita tab wah gaali dene laga
-> jteble mu taku marili sie mate 
gali debaku lagila

4. I went to patna
-> mai patna gaya tha
-> mu patna jaithili

5. had the priyanka gone before the shubh came?
-> kya priyanka ke aane ke pahele shaiv jaa chuka tha

Past Perfect Continuous

1. I had been running
-> mai daurta raha tha
-> mu dauda thili

2. you had not been reading since morning
-> tum subah se nahi padh rahe the
-> tame sakalu padhe na thila

3. where had suman been living for two years?
-> suman do varsho se kaaha reh raha tha?
-> suman do barsaru kouThi rahuthila???

Future Tense

1. you will not do your work
-> aap apna kaam nahi karenge 
-> tame tama nija kama karibani  

2. will you go to the cv raman
-> ya tum nmiet jaoge
-> kana tame nmiet jiba

3. shall we go to the college
-> kya humlog colg jaaynge
-> amemane kana clg  jiba

Note: Future continuos not available in Odia language

Future Perfect

1. I shall have eating
-> mai kha chukunga
-> mu khai sari thibi

2. he shall have come before the exam nation starts
-> parisha suru hone se pahele wo aa chuka hoga
-> exam start hba purbaru se suru aso sarithiba

3. I shall not have gone
-> mai nahi jaa chukunga
-> mu jai sarithibi

Note: Future Perfect Continuous not available in Odia
