C programming language was developed in 1972 by Dennis Ritchie at bell laboratories of AT&T American Telephone & Telegraph.
The C Programming Language is a computer programming book written by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie in 1978.
Coming back to the topic
Before C language there is a programming language present called B language, which was derived from BCPL (basic combined programming language.
C inherits many features of B and BCPL language or we can say that B is the ancestor of C programming language, That’s why C programming named as C
